- Producer: Witness Wines was established following the acquisition of the historic Witness Tree Vineyard in Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills. The project is dedicated exclusively to producing estate-grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from this single property. Rather than sourcing fruit from multiple vineyards, Witness focuses entirely on expressing the character of Witness Tree Vineyard through a series of small-production bottlings. The winery works with separate vineyard blocks that are vinified individually before final blending, emphasizing site expression over house style. Production is intentionally limited, with Eola-Reverie representing the estate's flagship, small-lot Pinot Noir.
- Vineyard: Witness Tree Vineyard is located in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA of Oregon's Willamette Valley. Originally planted in 1982, the property encompasses approximately 100 acres, with just over 53 acres currently under vine. The vineyard is planted primarily to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and benefits from the region's volcanic soils and exposure to the Van Duzer Corridor, which funnels cool Pacific winds through the appellation. These daily breezes moderate temperatures, preserve acidity, and extend the growing season. Vineyard redevelopment has included detailed soil mapping by geologist Pedro Parra and modern block design tailored to soil type, clone selection, and rootstock.
- Winemaking: Eola-Reverie is produced from the estate's highest-performing vineyard blocks, selected after individual vinification and barrel evaluation. The wine is fermented with 30–40% whole-cluster inclusion, a technique that contributes aromatic complexity and structural lift. Élevage takes place in French oak barrels, followed by meticulous blending before bottling. The winery's stated objective is to combine the concentration of New World fruit with classical winemaking techniques, producing a Pinot Noir that reflects the vineyard rather than heavy cellar influence. Annual production remains limited to approximately 920 bottles and 50 magnums, making it the rarest Pinot Noir in the Witness portfolio.
