Notes:
(40+ year old vines). Cool and mildly floral aromas that are comprised by notes of white orchard fruit, citrus zest and a hint of acacia blossom. The caressing yet detailed medium weight flavors possess fine volume and an attractively refined texture while exhibiting good underlying tension on the balanced, linear and impressively persistent finish. This is an excellent Champs Canet that should again drink well on the younger side yet also reward up to a decade of cellaring. Burghound (91-93)/2031+
Pale lemon and lime. Old style Puligny eschewing the heat of recent years. Fresh herbs mixed in with the orchard fruit. There is some flesh here, despite the cool wet conditions. So I find less acidity and more flesh than the same style of vintage from twenty years earlier. This is probably due to warmer night time temperatures nowadays. Quite elegant to finish. Drink from 2027-2032. Tasted Oct 2025. Jasper Morris 90-92
