Notes:
A distinctly cool and more elegant nose is comprised by the perfumed essence of red pinot fruit, exotic spice and a beautiful range of floral elements trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The elegance continues on the palate with the gorgeously textured, rich and seductive mineral-driven flavors that possess excellent underlying tension that really comes to the fore on the impressively long finale. This is built to repay mid to even longer-term cellaring and I particularly like the balance. Burghound 91-94 Sweet Spot Outstanding
Almost as dark as the Gevrey Vieilles Vignes, but with less bouquet. Need to warm the glass. Now out comes a little bit of flavour. A more intense version of the Gevrey Vieilles Vignes, with black fruit and a redder and certainly more tannic finish, firmed up by the stems. Drink from 2033-2039. Jasper Morris 92-94
