Notes:
This is also ultra-floral in character with additional breadth added by notes of the essence of white-fleshed fruit, spice, petrol and a whiff of oak toast. There is both good volume and density to the refined and highly energetic medium-bodied flavors that exhibit excellent length on the lightly stony, bone-dry and impressively persistent finish. This needs to develop better depth but the stuffing is here for that to occur. This is also worth checking out. Burghound (92-94)/2032+
Mid lemon yellow. A little touch of biscuit from the barrel. The Champ Canet does not have the volume of most of the Meursault 1ers Crus but is distinguished by its persistence and the detail which really only comes out on the back of the palate. The angels are dancing not on the head of a pin but on the stones. The fruit profile has a ripe citrus aspect. Overall, a fine Champ Canet. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Oct 2025. Jasper Morris 92-94
