A wonderfully fresh and ripe nose is comprised by notes of red and blue pinot fruit, spice and pretty floral wisps. There is more size and weight to the rich and succulent medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also buffers the firm tannic spine shaping the impressively persistent, well-balanced and solidly powerful finish. This is qualitatively similar to the Charmes but offers a markedly different expression. Burghound 91-94 Outstanding!
