Notes:

A slightly riper combination reflects notes of a variety of dark berries, warm earth and just enough wood to mention. The generously proportioned, lavishly rich and suave medium weight flavors that exhibit fine length on the sappy and lingering finale where the only nit is a touch of warmth. This promising effort is firm enough to age well over the next decade but not so compact that it couldn't be enjoyed on the younger side. Burghound 90-92

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos de la Bussière offers up aromas of cherries, raspberries and plums, along with hints of baking chocolate and spices. Medium to full-bodied, lively and layered, it's rich and charming, with a rather open, gourmand profile for a wine that's sometimes among Roumier's more structured bottlings. At 13.8%, this is one of the higher alcohol wines in the range, as is often the case. William Kelley 91-93
