Notes:
A slightly riper and more layered nose combines notes of dark cherry, violet, lilac and pretty spice wisps. There is excellent verve and minerality adding interest to the texture of the medium weight flavors that display fine length on the balanced, youthfully austere and sneaky long finale. This is relatively compact and a wine that is going to need at least some patience. Lovely. Burghound 89-91 Outstanding!
The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Village is beautifully perfumed, soaring from the glass with scents of orange zest, raspberries and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and sensual palate. Readers might wish to think of it as an amalgam of the aromas and finesse of the 2021 and the flesh and texture of 2022. William Kelley 90-92
