A completely different aromatic profile is comprised by notes of honeysuckle, orange peel, carnation, acacia blossom and a plethora of spice nuances. The delicious, generously proportioned and relatively forward medium-bodied flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract before culminating in a wonderfully complex, balanced, clean and nicely dry finish that possess first-rate persistence. This is also very classy and a wine that is sufficiently pliant that it could be enjoyed young if desired. Burghound 92-95
The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles has turned out beautifully, unfurling to reveal aromas of peach, orange blossom, toasted nuts and iodine. Full-bodied, ample and textural, it's fleshy and layered, with a seamless, enveloping profile girdled by bright acids. It will offer a broad drinking window. William Kelley 95
