Notes:
A discreet application of wood sets off the ripe and agreeably fresh aromas of poached apple, citrus confit and subtle spice wisps along with a phenolic hint. Here too there is very good volume to the attractively textured middle weight flavors that aren't quite as rich but do culminate in a refreshingly dry, youthfully austere and lingering finale. I very much like the balance and while this too could use better depth, that should simply be a matter of patience. Burghound 91-94 Outstanding
A pretty and pale colour, minor reduction some lime citrus, the 2022 Grandes Ruchottes is in a more mineral mode. This is tiptoeing gently rather than demanding to be heard. No excess flesh on the wiry frame, but fine and long. Drink from 2028-2038. Tasted Nov 2023. Jasper Morris 93-96
