The 2022 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard is showing nicely, unwinding in the glass with a gently reductive bouquet of pear, white flowers, hazelnuts and wet stones. Medium-bodied, pure and satiny, it's seamless and youthfully understated, with a bright core of fruit and a long, saline finish. William Kelly 93

Terroir: Above the village of Saint-Aubin, seated between the middle and lower sections of a southeast-facing slope, with shallow, stony, clay soil over a hard limestone bedrock (the middle section is steeper and contains more limestone).
Viticulture: Sustainable, organic methods
Vinification: Crushed and pressed, settled overnight, ambient yeast fermentation and aging for an average of 24 months on the lees in 300 and 600 L barrels (mostly used), aged for an additional 6 months in tank, fined and filtered if necessary, SO2 only added during aging (typically after the first year).
