This is aromatically quite similar to the Brûlées though perhaps with just a touch more freshness. The delicious medium-bodied flavors flash the intrinsic minerality of a fine VRBM before terminating in a linear, focused and strikingly long finish. This is excellent.
Burghound 92-94 Sweet Spot Outstanding!
East facing, clay on oolitic limestone, on the Flagey side of Beaux Monts, so does not get the cool air from the combe. Clean dense purple. Dense cherry kernel fruit with raspberry edges, some gingerbread and cinnamon, good acidity, complex, ultimately fresher than the more viscous Brûlées. An intriguing contrast in style. Jasper Morris 93-95.
