Notes of matchstick and sulfur-induced reduction dominate the underlying fruit today. Otherwise there is good energy and volume to the succulent mid-palate of the medium weight plus flavors that possess a sappy mouth feel though not the same depth on the lingering finish. As one would reasonably expect this is bigger and richer than the Grands Charrons but overall a bit less interesting. Burghound 89-92
