“The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée is predictably brilliant, exhibiting aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus fruit, musk melon and pastry cream, followed by a medium to full-bodied, succulent palate that's beautifully multidimensional and complete, with striking purity and length. More reserved than the Tête du Clos, this is a more promising candidate for the long haul and exemplifies the characteristics of this ample but incisive climat that ranks as one of Chassagne's two best premiers crus.” (January, 2019)
