The lavishly rich, muscular and overtly powerful flavors possess the hallmark minerality that carries over to the dense, citrusy and very dry finish. This beauty should age effortlessly.”

“The Domaine Fevre les Clos is another brilliant 2017 grand cru. The bouquet is utterly refined and classically complex, offering up scents of green apple, tart orange, lemon, complex, flinty minerality, white flowers and incipient notes of paraffin in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, rock solid at the core and utterly suave in profile, with excellent, racy acids, superb focus and grip and a very long, very pure and complex finish. Great juice. 2025-2065.”

“The 2017 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru, from 4 hectares at the top of the hill, was harvested at around 23-24hl/ha. It has a very precise bouquet with oyster leaf, Granny Smith apples, wet granite and hints of almond that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a touch of roundness on the entry that is counterbalanced by fine bead of acidity. There is wonderful salinity and a dash of spice on the finish. This is a Chablis that should give at least a decade's worth of drinking pleasure.”
