Notes:
Pale, bright yellow. High-pitched aromas of citrus fruits, mint and flowers. Concentrated and tactile, with the flavors of pineapple, lemon, lime, pear drop and fresh hay supported by a firm mineral underpinning. Slightly glyceral and exotic, this wine finishes with palate-staining minerality and sneaky length. Coutoux notes that the vines in this rocky site are in very good shape and never produce overipe fruit. Vinous/Steve Tanzer 90-93
There is a touch of reduction present but not so much as to completely mask the aromas of citrus and floral nuances. The intense, rich and relatively broad-shouldered flavors also possess plenty of palate coating sap that also buffers the moderately firm acid backbone on the persistent, balanced and slightly drier and more complex finale.
