The wood treatment is a bit more prominent though it remains reasonably subtle as it easily allows the cool, elegant and equally spicy aromas of various dark berries, plum and rose petal. There is terrific delineation to the chiseled and markedly stony flavors that also possess fine mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a sleek, focused and gorgeously persistent finish. This firmly structured effort is notably less youthfully austere than it usually is though don't mistake that for it necessarily being more accessible young. Burghound 91-93
