Notes:
By John Gilman View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2011, Issue #36, The 2010 Burgundy Vintage: Low Yields Deliver Profound Elegance (Chablis “Les Closâ€- Domaine Louis Michel et Fils) The 2010 Louis Michel Les Clos is the very finest of a stunning range of wines in this vintage. This is the deepest and the most closed wine of all these grand crus, reluctantly offering up a very promising nose of grapefruit, wet stones, flinty overtones, lime peel, a gentle grassiness, dried flowers and a distinctively smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very backward, with great focus, a stunning core of fruit, a veritable mineral bath of soil tones, brisk acids and brilliant length and grip on the rapier-like finish. A brilliant Les Clos in the making. (Drink between 2025-2075) 96+ points
