Here the brilliantly complex nose is notably more deeply pitched as well asexceptionally fresh as it combines spice, plum, red berry fruit liqueur andplenty of stone character that are framed in a discreet hint of wood. There is equally good depth on the focused and sleekly muscular flavorsthat exude a sense of focused power before culminating in an explosive,driving and strikingly long finish. This should be terrific as it haseverything that it needs to evolve gracefully over the next 12 to 15 yearsand last 3 times that long. Like the 2011 version, this is arguably theClos des Chnes of the vintage if you have the patience to wait for it tocome around.
