Burghound, January 2012,
(Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges "Les Chaignots" 1er 1er Cru Red) A discreet touch of wood still allows the light spiced purple fruit aromas to shine. There is fine richness and excellent mid-palate ripeness and concentration to the medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a long, complex and quite serious finish. This is a Vosne/Nuits hybrid as the Vosne influence is clear on the nose but the structure and robustness is distinctly Nuits. (Drink starting 2020)Â Â 90-93Â points

View From the Cellar,
(Nuits St. Georges “Chaignotsâ€- Domaine Robert Chevillon et Fils) The Chaignots chez Chevillon is often the most exuberant of the premier crus out of the blocks, but the 2010 shows a wonderful sense of reserve in this vintage that I suspect augurs very, very well for its future evolution in bottle. The stunning nose offers up a complex mélange of red plums, black cherries, a nice touch of violet, raw cocoa, nutty tones, a complex base of soil and a fine framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure, with a great core of fruit, a very elegant profile, excellent mid-palate depth and very refined tannins on the flawlessly balanced finish. A beautiful, beautiful bottle of Chaignots. (Drink between 2017-2045)  93 points
