Gevrey-Chambertin Clos St. Jacques- Domaine FourrierHappily, both the Clos St. Jacques and the Griotte were also showing very well atthe time of my visit. The 2008 Clos St. Jacques will be outstanding, as it soars from theglass in a cool and classic mlange of cherries, blood orange, woodsmoke, coffee,stunningly complex minerality and a delicate topnote of roses. On the palate the wine isfull-bodied, deep and again, very, very transparent, with a fine core of fruit, ripe tannins,tangy acids and outstanding length and grip on the poised and classy finish. 2016-2040+.93+.
