In contrast to the clean aromatic profiles of the prior wines, here there is noticeable volatile acidity on the red fruit nose that introduces bright, delicious and slightly austere flavors that are serious if not elegant. Like the Vosne villages, I assume that this will be cleaned up before release but this did not show particularly well. Burghound 86-88
