As it was when I originally reviewed it (see herein), this has turned out about as predicted with its ripe but wonderfully fresh, complex and elegant aromas of green apple, citrus and wet stone. There is an intense minerality to the broad-shouldered and overtly powerful flavors that brim with dry extract on the impressively concentrated and palate coating finish that seems to go on and on. To be sure this is a big wine and the ripeness and density of the 2005 vintage is very much present though at the same time the natural acidity of Corton-Charlemagne keeps everything in balance and focus. For my taste this has arrived at its apogee though it will certainly continue to hold if desired. In a word, terrific. Burghound 95

Checked in on this (4/2025). Have to say was pleasantly surprised. Excellent aromatics with a palate staining, mouth coating finish. I have to say Burghound's comments are very much spot on - great minerality and intensity. This is what aged white burgundy is all about. A really special wine! ~ Vins Rare
