Good full, deep red. Musky, decadent aromas of red fruits, flowers, truffle and sweet oak. Concentrated, superripe and broad, with atypical weight for this cuvee Rather firm and unforthcoming today. Very horizontal on the finish, with fine tannins coating the palate. 90(+?) points

Tasting note: Very heavy reductive notes presently hide the nose but the flavors are fresh, intense and beautifully textured as the sap buffers the firm and ripe tannins. Like the Charmes, this is a big wine by the usual standards of Clos St. Denis with ample power and volume with a palate staining finish and length to burn. Burghound 91-93
