Burghound: Oddly, this is bigger, more serious and more powerful than the Champans with a broad aromatic spectrum of red and black fruits and obvious mineral notes merging seamlessly into dusty, precise and ultra pure middle weight flavors and a much firmer and more persistent backend. There is simply more material here with a buried yet noticeable tannic spine. A terrific wine of impressive balance.
