Burghound: This too is quite pure, stylish and aromatically intense and trades weight, richness and power for elegance and finesse. There is of course the punchy structure of a classic Champans and in this case, it is more a question of whether one prefers elegance and finesse or power. International Wine Cellar: Medium red. Bright, pure nose hints at bitter cherry, licorice and fresh herbs. Silky-sweet but also quite subtle and light on its feet, showing the sappiness of the vintage. Finishes with suave tannins and very good length. Burghound 88-91
