Notes:
Wine Spectator: Silky and seductive, with roses, berries and raspberries. Full bodied, with wonderfully integrated tannins. Great length. A super wine. Like sleeping in silk sheets. From the Rocche di Castiglione vineyard in Castiglione Falletto. Best after 2010. 200 cases made. (JS)
Wine Advocate: The 2000 Barolo Rocche is an unqualified success with its strikingly floral nose of roses and iris, velvety and caressing body, silky tannins, and its admirable balance of force and finesse.
International Wine Cellar: Medium red. Complex aromas of underbrush, licorice, mocha and licorice; red berry notes emerged with aeration. Large-scaled, ripe and rich; a huge wine that finishes with serious but completely smooth tannins that saturate the teeth and cheeks. Boasts great length and thrust for the vintage.
