Notes:
A ripe, complex and still mostly primary fruited nose with a slightly green undercurrent that continues onto the palate. There is also an ever-so-slight spritz that causes this to seem a touch greener than it probably is. In short, this is perfectly pleasant but it needs a minimum of 30 minutes in a decanter to really open up and even, this is more of a solid than great wine. Tasted a bottle recently. Could not agree more that it takes about 30 minutes to really open up. When it does it reveals a ripe, sweet character that made for a very enjoyable drink. Remember that in Burgundy it is about the producer - great producers can make excellent wines in difficult vintages. Vins Rare 90
