The NV Extra-Brut Perpetual Reserve Lieu Dit La Croix Joly (2018 base), 100% old-vine Meunier, is a rich, layered Champagne. Here, the perpetual reserve seems to introduce a high-toned register to the aromatics, with hints of volatility and oxidative overtones that are pushed to the edge. But that's part of the joy.
