With summer kicking into high gear, there’s no better wine to reach for than a chilled glass of rosé! I try to be super selective with what I offer, making sure it’s something I’d be proud to serve in my own home.

Last week, I took delivery of the 2024 La Bastide Blanche Bandol Rosé – a go-to wine for me for at least the past 10 years. It always delivers! I was in the middle of moving into our new home and couldn’t have the wine sent to the warehouse, so I had it delivered to the house instead. As soon as it arrived, I put a case in the garage fridge, knowing that nothing would be more refreshing after a hard day of moving than a glass of rosé.

Well, I looked in the fridge this morning and there were only three bottles left! Sure, we had a few friends over this weekend, but like I always tell people when they buy rosé from me: “Buy one to open tonight and two more to keep in the fridge—because you will be looking for that second bottle as the first will disappear in a blink of an eye!”  Nothing could be more true than with this wine from La Bastide Blanche

It’s textbook Bandol, gorgeous light orange hue, a subtle hint of orange peel on the nose, great texture, and a fresh, mineral-driven finish. This is a wine that would hard to get tired of. It’s a wine lover’s rosé: serious wine and absolutely delicious!
