A discreet whiff of oak surrounds the notably spice-infused aromas of red and dark berries, sandalwood and exotic tea. The medium weight flavors possess a highly seductive and refined mouthfeel while delivering evident minerality on the highly persistent, complex and impeccably well-balanced finish. Five barrels in 2023, riches! Glowing purple. The nose is sensational. A happy explosion of floral peonies with ripe red berries. Ethereal while retaining its grounding in ultra rich concentrated red fruit, remarkably stylish with a spectacular intensity all the way through. Firm fruit at the finish. Solid and sensual at the same time. 13.99% alcohol says François with a grin. Even after the near perfect Clos St-Jacques this shows well. Drink from 2033-2045. Tasted Nov 2024.
