Notes:
Here too there is just enough wood to merit mentioning framing the slightly more elegant nose of ripe plum, black cherry and a subtle array of spice nuances. There is slightly more volume to the powerful yet more refined medium weight plus flavors that are also sufficiently firm to need at least a decade of keeping. This is also quite good and a wine that should age gracefully yet isn't so compact that it couldn't be approached young. Burghound 91-93 Outstanding!
Another intense clear purple with the headier bouquet of this Vosne side vineyard. Perfectly judged ripeness with a gorgeously supple fruit, yet also a backbone. More red than black, with a lifted finish, also 50% whole bunch vinification but the intensity of the fruit means it shows less. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted: October 2023 Jasper Morris 93-95
