Here the wood influence is also nicely subtle on the floral and spice-inflected red pinot, cherry and soft earth-suffused aromas. There is good detail to the bigger, richer and more obviously muscular flavors that manage to remain reasonably refined on the youthfully austere, refreshing and lightly stony finish that is compact, powerful and very clearly built-to-age. This is very much a 'buy and forget' LSG but one that eventually should be well-worth the wait. In a word, outstanding. Burgound 93-95
The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges is the king of the cellar, exhibiting beautiful aromas of raspberries, blood orange, sweet spices, peonies, licorice and vine smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, seamless and complete palate that's deep and layered, with a vibrant core of fruit, supple tannins and a long, perfumed finish.
