A markedly spicier and slightly cooler nose features notes of red currant, earth and a pretty floral top note. The racy, delicious and well-detailed medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the lingering finish that also displays a hint of bitter pit fruit character. Lovely and very Chaignots. Offering up aromas of plums and red berries mingled with notions of smoke, orange peel and peonies, the 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots is medium to full-bodied, velvety and supple, with a suave, enveloping, charming profile, its succulent core of fruit framed by powdery tannins.
