Notes:
The 2017 Chablis Vaudsir Grand Cru sees around 35% wood maturation (used) and the remainder in stainless steel. It has an intense bouquet with yellow plum, Mirabelle, jasmine and light flint/smoke aromas that are detailed and very well focused. The palate is very harmonious with a smooth texture, perfectly pitched acidity with hints of orange zest, Clementine, Cornice pear and cold flint towards the poised and graceful finish. This is brimming with potential - a stunning Vaudsir.
Vinous/Neal Martin 94-96
Discreet but not invisible wood sets off an elegant, cool and airy nose that is comprised of essence of pear, lemon rind, sea breeze and iodine aromas. There is solid intensity to the notably finer medium weight flavors that also exhibit good minerality on the sleek, delineated, dry, clean and moderately austere finale. This is really lovely and a classic Vaudsir in its delicacy. Burghound 91-94 Sweet Spot
