Notes:
The 2017 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a strict and quite reserved bouquet (especially following the Grenouilles) with more mineral/flint aromas percolating through the citrus fruit. The palate is very well defined with a little butteriness on the entry in terms of texture, smooth and seductive but this is deceiving because it segues into a very taut, linear and precise finish that feels long and satisfying. A brilliant Les Clos from Benoît Droin.

This too is carrying enough wood to point out to readers though it doesn't really detract from the otherwise pure, elegant and airy aromas of apple, pear and sea shore scented nose. The attractively sleek, intense and mineral-driven middle weight plus flavors possess an unusually refined mouth feel before culminating in a delicious, complex and lingering finish where a touch of wood resurfaces. This too will need at least a few years of patience as it's tightly wound today Burghound 92-94
