“This comes from the lower part of Charmes with little slope and is picked late. There is rich white fruit on the nose along with a little oak, very good intensity of acidicty behind, this has kept it all together. The extra 'peps' of which Frederic Weber spoke. A little touch of liquorice a the back. Medium plus density.” (November, 2018)

“The 2017 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru has vigor and energy on the nose, offering charming yellow fruit and waxy aromas. The palate is well balanced and quite weighty in the mouth, displaying citrus peel and light mineral notes. Perhaps it just lacks a little weight, but it should improve in bottle.” (January, 2019)
