This is also aromatically exuberantly fresh with markedly earthier aromas of dark pinot fruit that is laced with plenty of sauvage characters. There is impressive richness and concentration to the medium-bodied flavors compared to what is typical for a Savigny villages, all wrapped in a caressing yet sleek finish that, like the Pernand, exhibits only a trace of rusticity.
