Notes:
(still a significant percentage of malic acidity remaining): Bright ruby-red. Reticent aromas of black fruits and mint. Boasts a dense texture and almost chocolatey sweetness but an impression of calcaire energy gives the very concentrated middle palate considerable finesse for a Beaune wine. Slightly high-toned in a seductive way. Still quite young and unevolved--and tricky to assess with confidence prior to the end of its malolactic fermentation--but this looks to be a superb vintage for this premier cru. The finish displays fine-grained tannins and terrific subtle length and lingering perfume. Tanzer/Vinous 91-93
