Like the Combe Brûlées, this is noticeably reduced with background touches of wood in evidence. On the plus side there is fine size, weight and concentration to the muscular but not rustic medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of sappy dry extract that helps to buffer the markedly firm tannic spine shaping the powerful and hugely long finish. This isn't as elegant as the Beaux Monts but I like the delivery and Gevrey-style character. Burghound 90-93 Outstanding!
