(Savigny-lès-Beaune “aux Guettes” - Domaine Jean-Marc et Hugues Pavelot) The 2013 aux Guettes had also just been filtered and it too was quite cranky about being tasted. The nose was still quite unsettled, but the palate showed lovely promise in its full-bodied and energetic personality, with fine mineral drive, pure frit and ripe and well-integrated tannins. While the wine was in no shape for taking a precise note, I am sure this will be very strong. (Drink between 2021-2050) John Gilman 90-92+
