Notes:

This is an interesting wine in that it's very ripe yet it's exceptionally elegant and high ripeness is rarely strongly correlated with high levels of refinement yet that is the case as the nose contrasts yellow fruit compote with notes of lemon and red grapefruit that add freshness. The palate displays this contrast as well because there is excellent richness coupled with plenty of supporting punch before culminating in a stony, powerful and driving finish. This should age well but be approachable young too. Burghound 93  Sweet Spot Outstanding!
