Notes:
Pale light yellow. Sexy aromas and flavors of peach, acacia flower, smoke and clove. Rich in extract, smooth and dry (under one gram per liter r.s.), gaining thickness toward the back without any loss of harmony. Utterly smooth, extract-rich wine with superb persistence. The combination of dryness and gras is extraordinary. Another premier cru at grand cru level in this cellar.
(from 60+ year old vines and the vineyard is a whopping 4 ha monopole
within Perrières). The restrained nose of ultra-pure, airy and cool notes of white flower, pear, green apple and freshly slicedcitrus fruit is trimmed in barely discernible hints of pain grillé. The driving middle weight flavors possess good richness though the firm acid spine is such that there is no lack of detail or delineation to the lilting and seductively-textured finish that is dry, beautifully persistent and slightly austere. This is also going to need a few years of cellaring first to harmonize and develop further depth. 93/2020+
