Notes:
Here the expressive nose mixes hints of mint, reduction and wood though all are subtle. There is good richness and plenty of mid-palate fat and concentration, indeed this would aptly be described as seductive though unlike many examples of Morgeot which can be heavy, there is a lemony acidity that provides the necessary lift on the slightly saline-inflected backend. This is quite rich and not especially refined; then again, refinement is not why one buys Morgeot. I like this for its frank character and the abundant dry extract renders this already approachable even though it should be more than capable of rewarding at least 5 to 6 years of bottle age.
