A distinguished, elegant and beautifully layered nose offers up notes of rose petal, anise, clove and red cherries. There is a beguiling purity to the refined mouth feel to the delineated middle weight flavors thanks to the abundant dry extract and fine-grained tannins that mold the mineral-inflected finish. Like the Chenevery this is not super vibrant but the density of the mid-palate and overall persistence is most impressive. Burghound 90-93 Outstanding!
