Notes:
Allen Meadows' Burghound, May 2011
This is the ripest wine in the range with plum, mocha and notes of prune that merge into rich, powerful and impressively dense broad-shouldered flavors that possess a velvety texture on the dazzlingly persistent finish. There are plenty of fireworks with this wine and it is undeniably dramatic but it's quite a bit riper than I personally prefer and it's not clear at this early stage whether it will become port-like in time. Optimists will age the wine and pessimists will drink it young. (93+) points.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, May 2011
The 2009 Clos de la Roche saturates the palate with tons of fruit. Despite its richness, the Clos de la Roche remains brilliant through and through, with dazzling elegance and an intense, powerful finish. 95 points.
