(a 1 ha blend of Groseilles, Baudes, Noirots and Gruenchers, which interestingly are allbunched together, geographically speaking). This is slightly riper and certainly more aromatically complex with its pretty andattractively nuanced red pinot fruit and violet notes that precede rich, supple and silky middle weight flavors that are alsoslightly firmer on the persistent, balanced and delicious finish. This should drink well almost immediately yet benefit from 5 to8 years of cellaring if desired. Interestingly, while this is certainly more complex, it is not necessarily any more refined than thevillages.  91 points.
