Notes:

A more expressive and more aromatically complex nose features ultra pure and refined notes of red berries, crushed herbs and wet stone, all of which can be found on the lilting, precise and rather supple middle weight flavors that are on the understated side, indeed the finish is restrained yet quite long. Burghound 90-92 Sweet Spot Outstanding!

View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2009, Issue #24, The Superb 2008 Burgundy Vintage- Already in the Shadow of 2009?(Gevrey-Chambertin Champeaux- Domaine Fourrier) The 2008 Fourrier Champeaux will also be excellent, and is a very classic expression of this superb premier cru. The bouquet delivers a very classy blend of black cherries, blood orange, a touch of grilled meat, complex soil tones and espresso. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and beautifully poised, with suave, moderate tannins, tangy acids, excellent focus and outstanding length and grip on the complex and soil-driven finish. Year in and year out this is one of my favorite wines in the Fourrier cellar, and the 2008 is no exception. (Drink between 2015-2040) 93 points
