Notes:
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, March/April 2010
Bright medium red. Medicinal black cherry, licorice and a stony element on the nose. Large-scaled, powerful and penetrating, with a sappy small-berry intensity and an exhilarating balance of sweetness and acidity. Finishes with crushed stone and saline nuances and outstanding lift. Wonderfully sappy Corton from what Hervet described as a normal yield of about 40 hectoliters per hectare. 92-95 points.
Allen Meadows' Burghound, January 2010
Almost invisible wood allows the lightly spiced and earthy red berry fruit aromas that are admirably pure to merge into relatively supple yet well-detailed broad-shouldered flavors that culminate in a lingering and solidly firm finish. This is unusually approachable but I expect that it will tighten up considerably after it is bottled. If so, this will definitely be a wine for the patient. 91-94 points.
