Notes:
A very pretty and moderately ripe nose that is dominated by citrus and floral hints with the barest trace of pain grill lurking in the background leads to precise and focused middle weight flavors that also display a touch of oak influence though again, it's very discreet, all wrapped in a lingering but lean and linear finish supported by a very firm acid spine. 2007 is an interesting vintage for this wine as there isn't a lot of breadth or mid-palate fat to buffer the structural elements though I suspect that it will come in time. But as with a number of Ramonet '07s, don't buy this with the intention to drink it in the ensuring 3 or 4 years as this will require time to really obtain the value of your entry price. In short, patience required. Burghound 91Jean-Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Ruchottes" 2007
