Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, August 2009($127) Geppetti has produced anothergem in her 2006 Saffredi, a French-oak aged blend of CabernetSauvignon, Merlot and Alicante. This textured, explosive wine boastsconsiderable depth and richness in its dark fruit, flowers, mineralsand graphite. The wine remains extremely primary and in need ofconsiderable bottle age in order to offer its best drinking but it isunquestionably formidable. The style combines elements of power andelegance, achieving a level rarely seen in these parts. Simply put,this is stunning juice. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2026. 96 points.
